Precatory Memoranda

Join Ian Hull, Jordan Atin, and special guest Randy Frisch, CEO of Trusty, for a discussion on precatory memoranda and how non-binding guidance can help executors better understand a client’s wishes, preferences, and personal context.

This session will examine the role of precatory memoranda in estate planning, including the types of information clients may wish to provide outside the binding terms of a will, how that information may assist executors in estate administration, and practical considerations when advising clients on the use of non-binding memoranda or letters of wishes.

Randy Frisch will bring the perspective of Trusty, which focuses on helping families preserve and share personal wishes, asset information, and legacy context alongside traditional estate planning documents.
